WELCOME TO FUELTUNE

FREE THE POTENTIAL OF YOUR CAR! MORE POWER, ECONOMY AND LESS HARMFUL EMISSIONS. IMPROVED DRIVEABILITY AND INCREASED MILEAGE

What it is:

Fuel tune is a lightweight, multi-platform software that can take any .CSV log and automatically suggest changes to your current fuel map.

Why datalogging:

Modern cars have very large fuel tables. For example the fuel table in my SAAB has 288 cells! Tuning such table by hand is almost an impossible task. By employing datalogging combined with the smart log analyzing of fuelTune you can keep your eyes on the road and tune your fuel table at home. You can finally catch these elusive transitional regimes that are impossible to tune by hand.

Why I did it:

I started this project for my personal needs. At this time all of the available log-processing softwares were either not capable enough, had stupid interface or were paid! After a couple of months of coding and learning Java, this project was born.

Tested on:

So far the fuelTune has been tested on Linux and Windows with logs from King LPG ECU (MP48 AEB based ECU), custom Arduino logger on SAAB 9-5 and others.

How it works:

  • Select the log file

  • Select which column numbers are XYZ. X and Y are the axes of the table, namely load and RPM, while Z is AFR

  • Select the format of the fuel AFR (e.g. voltage, lambda or directly in AFR)

  • Select a file with a target map. This map tells what is the desired AFR in each region of the map

  • Select the format of the target map

  • Fill in the X and Y support points for the axes of the fuel table

  • Click run!
